Welcome to Mark Usher Racing!

I have been training racehorses since 1983 and I am now based in Rowdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, a modern, purpose built, Yard with 30 Boxes with easy access to the superb Lambourn Gallops. We moved into Rowdown on the 1st January 2016 and you can see something of the excellent facilites we have here. My team and I work hard to do the best for our horses and to achieve success and enjoyment for our owners; I pride myself on high standards and attention to detail.

Visitors to the yard are always welcome! You can keep uptodate with the latest news from Rowdown by clicking this link and you can see our immediately upcoming Entries and running plans by clicking here and then selecting 'Entries'.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Royal Charmer

2017   Bay   Gelding
by Hallowed Crown (Aus)  ex  Yaqootah (USA)  ( Gone West )

Owner:  Rowdown Nursery

By the Darley Champion Australian Miler Hallowed Crown, who won three Grade One races in the Southern Hemisphere, out of a Gone West winning dam who was a daughter of the Grade Two winning US dirt horse, Sweet Roberta, he is a sweet but sharp minded colt from his sire's first crop; on his looks and his pedigree he does look well bought.

If you follow this link you can see him, in the middle immediately behind the lead, taking his first steps on the road outside of the Yard; and here he is working in the menage , again in the middle, in the first week of October 2018. Here he at the very end of October being led by Black Truffle with his yearling friend by Morpheus immediately behind.

We put him onto the track in a six furlong Auction Maiden event at Kempton in the middle of September and he ran a promising race to be third, making ground on the turn in.
