Welcome to Mark Usher Racing!

I have been training racehorses since 1983 and I am now based in Rowdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, a modern, purpose built, Yard with 30 Boxes with easy access to the superb Lambourn Gallops. We moved into Rowdown on the 1st January 2016 and you can see something of the excellent facilites we have here. My team and I work hard to do the best for our horses and to achieve success and enjoyment for our owners; I pride myself on high standards and attention to detail.

Visitors to the yard are always welcome! You can keep uptodate with the latest news from Rowdown by clicking this link and you can see our immediately upcoming Entries and running plans by clicking here and then selecting 'Entries'.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Bred by Shadwell and a winner of a seven furlong Maiden at Lingfield at two, a ten furlong Epsom Handicap at three and placed second twice and third once from just seven starts, Mark bought this rangy, well made filly at Tattersalls Ireland Sales in August 2017.

She has the natural scope and temperament, an indication of which is shown in the picture below, to hurdle; if you go here you can see her developing her hurdling skills accelerating away from a jump in a grid; and here you can see her jumping full sized hurdles for the first time on the 20th of November being led by Spice Fair. She ran for the first time over hurdles at Newbury's December Meeting and ran a race of quiet promise, jumping well after pulling hard early on her first start for more than a year; she followed this up with an equally promising run at Ludlow in the middle of January and at Chepstow in the middle of April.

Fairly handicapped from these three runs and with a mark of 93 she made her first start in a Handicap in a Mares Conditional Jockeys iteration at Wincanton in the second week of May, winning really decisively; you can see a video of her spiffing performance here.
