Welcome to Mark Usher Racing!

I have been training racehorses since 1983 and I am now based in Rowdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, a modern, purpose built, Yard with 30 Boxes with easy access to the superb Lambourn Gallops. We moved into Rowdown on the 1st January 2016 and you can see something of the excellent facilites we have here. My team and I work hard to do the best for our horses and to achieve success and enjoyment for our owners; I pride myself on high standards and attention to detail.

Visitors to the yard are always welcome! You can keep uptodate with the latest news from Rowdown by clicking this link and you can see our immediately upcoming Entries and running plans by clicking here and then selecting 'Entries'.

I look forward to hearing from you.

2014   Bay   Gelding

by Showcasing (GB)  ex  Red Mischief (Ire)  ( Red Clubs (Ire) )

Owner:  Goodracing Partnership

A first foal from a six furlong winner at Two that Harry Dunlop trained, Red Mischief, Waqaas, as his name might suggest, was bought as a yearling by Shadwell and won at Doncaster as a two year old before running a creditable fourth in the Group Two Richmond Stakes at Goodwood in July 2016; held up as a three year old (although he did run very well in a valuable Ascot Handicap at the back end of 2017), he was sold to Jamie Osborne's yard in the Summer of 2018; he won for his Upper Lambourn Yard over seven furlongs on the Laytown Strand in Ireland in September 2018 before being purchased back by his original breeders at the end of November and coming to Rowdown.

If you follow this link you can see him winning at Laytown in September and here he is on his first day at Rowdown having a walk.

After making one start for Rowdown, at Kempton at the end of March he picked up an injury to his off fore pastern and has gone to Hollybush Farm to rest up over the Summer; we hope to have him back in training in September.
