Today completes something of a frustrating week in the Season for Rowdown; one or two of our people did not run quite as well as we might have hoped and the ground and predicting the weather (and the forecast!) continues to be frustrating, Brighton on Thursday and Newmarket yesterday evening being real examples of this.
Next week should see some interesting runners with Marmajuke Bay likely to run at, probably, Nottingham in their most important race of the Season, the quite valuable Colwick Cup, and Arlecchino’s Leap, who has so much natural ability, looking to put his aversion to the scary stalls well into the past at either Wolverhampton on Tuesday or Kempton Wednesday. Of our two year olds Bullseye Bullet could make his handicap debut at Kempton on Wednesday and Dreamboat Annie has a choice of engagements at Chelmsford on Tuesday and Wolverhampton Monday. So an interesting week in prospect.
