A busy and interesting evening in prospect with Leith Bridge and Shamonix going to Windsor and Dreamboat Annie and Arlechinno’s Leap travelling to Wolverhampton.
Dreamboat Annie, a quite substantial filly who has run two excellent races at Bath, winning a Maiden Auction and then following up with an excellent second, beaten a neck, in her first appearance in a Nursery; she should run well this evening although giving seven pounds to Dean Ivory’s Hello Girl will not be particularly easy.
Arlecchino’s Leap is an talented person who carries an edge, particularly when it comes to the stalls; he has been extensively stalls schooled and shouldn’t have any excuses about going in them this evening. We are running him over a mile for the first time so that is another element to be factored in but there is no reason why he shouldn’t be effective over it; he won decisively over seven furlongs at Wolverhampton last Autumn but the key with him are the stalls and the start!!
At Windsor both of our runners are really looking to get themselves onto a better track. Leith Bridge has been slightly disappointing of late although this is quite a moderate affair; Shamonix has become a little difficult to place and we are hoping that she will be able to finish in closer proximity to the higher rated horses and thus make things easier going forward.
