Mette at Lingfield
Threediamondrings pretty much did outrun his price yesterday, suffering the fate of all each way bets by not getting a run into the bend and having to be switched before going on to be fourth; he is getting closer.
This afternoon sees Mrs Sumner’s homebred from the extended family of Con Horgan's 1985 Ebor winner, Western Dancer, Mette, running in the First Division of Lingfield’s All Aged Mile Handicap; she was effectively eight pounds wrong when keeping on to be second at a serious price in a similar Lingfield race at the end of January; she is just one pound the wrong side of the Handicap this pm and with Ryan Tate knowing a bit more about him this afternoon we hope, with the tongue tie, she will go well; she has always showed more at home than she might have produced on the racetrack and a race of today’s grade is well within her compass.
