Misu Pete goes in the 5:15 at Chester today. There are 11 runners and he is drawn 8. Around Chester a wide draw is difficult but Pete is usually very quick out the stalls, so hopefully he can get forward and get closer to the rail. After that we will just have to see how it goes. It’s a good race and I don’t think realistically we can win it without a big slice of luck; I just hope he give Ciaran a good ride.
Born To Please and Bird For Life should both run at Ffos Las on Sunday (4:05 and 5:50 respectively). It was difficult decision whether to run or not; they aren’t quite getting the rain I had hoped for (the weather gods are definitely against us because it usually never stops raining in Wales!) but there is some forecast for Sunday. If it doesn’t come the ground will still be good which won’t harm either of them, but if it does come I’d kick myself if we weren’t there. Taking the ground out the equation, they are good races to go for on a track we have had a lot of luck at. Ryan Tate is going down there and could ride both which is another plus. We will see what the races look like later today, to really know what chances we have.
