It will be a close call whether Black Truffle gets in at Windsor on Monday. The weather might put a few people off going which gives us a chance. Unfortunately we aren’t going to know now until Saturday morning. If he doesn’t we will look for other options. Kempton on the 10th October is a possibility but again he’s not guaranteed a run there either.
There is supposed to be rain over the weekend so we’ve entered Born To Please to try and stay ahead of the curve for once. She is in a mile and a half at Brighton on Tuesday, 9th October. Obviously she will only run if they get the rain; if the ground turns soft it shouldn’t dry up too much by Tuesday. It’s a lower grade and the step up in trip shouldn’t do her any harm.
Misu Pete is also in, which could be his last chance on the grass this year. He’s in a 10 furlong Apprentice race at Nottingham on the Wednesday, 10th October. It doesn’t matter too much what the ground is like but I think it’s the last race of the day and Nottingham can get chewed up horribly. He didn’t travel though it very well the last time he went but there were a few things wrong that day. Hopefully he has one more big effort in him.
