Mistry at Windsor & Arlecchino's Arc at Kempton
We run Mistry in Windsor's six furlong Amateur Riders Handicap, the last race on their Card; she won off 46 in an Apprentice Handicap over the course and distance in a slightly lower grade; witness the video below; she is two pounds wrong in the Handicap and the balance of her form would suggest that she needs to produce her very, very best to win this evening; but she did win nicely here seven weeks ago and just like her half brother, Misu Pete, you wouldn't rule out that she could find some improvement later in her career.
We have fitted a visor (instead of cheekpieces) to Arlecchino's Arc just to see if we can get him to concentrate a little better when working hard in the final quarter of his races; he looked the winner of a similar race at Kempton three weeks ago (and in the process looked to land those 1650/1 each way doubles with Padura Brave) before losing three places close home. Bar, posssibly, the John Best trained horse there is virtually nothing between all 13 this evening and he has been quietly progressive since he returned from his summer break; it will surprise no-one if he goes close this evening and 12 and 14 to one each way a quarter the odds beckons.
Dreamboat Annie goes back to Leicester on Tuesday.
