Both horses are running at Chelmsford on Thursday evening. Misu Pete is first at 6:55. The race is back over 7 furlongs which is the distance he won over there last year. He’s drawn 7 of 11 which over the trip isn’t too bad; he’s quick out the stalls and it’s a long back straight, so he should be quite prominent. Ellie MacKenzie is riding the pair; we really want her to get a winner.
Black Truffle is running at 7:55. His job is going to be a bit harder; he is drawn 9 of 14 over 6 furlongs. The 6 furlong start is a bit closer to the bend and I imagine there will be horses sharper out the stalls than him. He doesn’t race well wide so Ellie will have to try and slot him in somewhere and hope the leaders don’t get too far ahead of him. His last win was over course and distance off a pound higher, so he’s not without a chance
