I’ve had a bit of a chance to reflect on things recently. Racing has taken a few blows this year and it’s made things a bit harder for us (and everyone else in racing). We need to adjust things but where there’s a will there a way! I’ll go into more detail another time but here’s what coming up.
Bird For Life goes in the 8:50 at Kempton tonight. She always has a chance back at he old stomping ground. With only 11 runners over 2 miles she should be able to find a path through. Ellie is in red hot form with 3 winners in a week including he Arab rides; let’s hope she can keep it going.
Bird To Love is entered in a filly’s novice at Newmarket on Friday. We have very limited options for her so if she gets in we will probably go for it. The drying ground is a slight concernbut she’s a very sound filly and should handle most grounds. It will just be an education for her. Even with Ellie’s claim the weights are massively stacked against her because of her age. We will take things more seriously when she gets a handicap make.
We’ve entered Misu Pete in an amateur race at Wolverhampton next Monday 1st July for Ciaran Jones. He’s ridden the horse well before so hopefully he’ll have some luck again. He’s been working particularlyhard of late so it’s great we can reward him with the odd ride.
