Padura Brave ran well at Kempton, showing the benefit of the ease in her mark; we will look to find a slightly lesser grade of race for her, hopefully in Sunbury where she is self evidently effective, and, if she drops one or two pounds more, she should not be too far away as go into mid summer.
Helluvasunset left the stalls awkwardly at Lingfield; we will have to give her some stalls practice and have a bit of a think about how we might get the best out of her; she has not produced too much on the racecourse so far.
Goodman Square is the third of our Nursery Two Year Olds to run and she makes her racecourse debut over six furlongs at Newbury this evening; although she is from what was effectively the last crop of the Champion Sprinter, Kyllachy, she has an eight and ten furlong pedigree on the distaff and is from the family of that excellent race and broodmare Last Second, who was trained by Mark Prescott to win the 10f Sun Chariot and Nassau Stakes and is the dam of the high class winner of the French 2000 guineas and successful sire Aussie Rules. Our filly will come on a considerable amount for what she achieves this evening.
We are unlikely to have any runners at the weekend but Cala Sveva, Misu Pete and Black Truffle are all engaged at Wolverhampton on Monday.
