2020 Brown Gelding
by Mayson (GB) ex Shades of Silk (GB) ( Bahamian Bounty (GB) )
Owner:
The Mark Usher Racing Club
By the July Cup Winner and highly successful sire, Mayson, out of a winning Bahamian Bounty Mare, this gelding had a delayed start to his career on the track, the core reason being that he has a slightly dipped back that made him difficult to place commercially.. He came to us in the Summer of 2024 as an unraced four year old; after quite a low key introduction to the track, over seven furlongs at Kempton in October, we ran him in a completely different environment on really easy ground over five furlongs at Bath; as the video shows he put up a really progressive performance running on powerfully close home after being slightly held up to finish third; the closest at the finish.
We are really pleased with him; he is not expensive and he should win races once we get him into Handicaps
