Welcome to Mark Usher Racing!

I have been training racehorses since 1983 and I am now based in Rowdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, a modern, purpose built, Yard with 30 Boxes with easy access to the superb Lambourn Gallops. We moved into Rowdown on the 1st January 2016 and you can see something of the excellent facilites we have here. My team and I work hard to do the best for our horses and to achieve success and enjoyment for our owners; I pride myself on high standards and attention to detail.

Bird For Life was a stalwart for our yard for seven consecutive Seasons; from 84 racecourse starts she won 12 times and was placed 26 times, a win & place strike rate of almost 41%, a tribute to her soundness and durability. If you follow this link you will be able to see her quite astonishing performance to win at Wolverhampton in October 2022 coming from a quite impossible position to win decisively.

Her sire, Massaat, was a high class racehorse who ran second in the 2000 Guineas of his year and who later was to win Newbury’s Group 2 Hungerford Stakes; he showed his consistency by finishing second in the Group One Dewhurst Stakes, a Championship race for Two Year Old colts.

We are looking forward to this Filly showing the attitude and consistency of her mother combined with the brilliance of her sire.

Shares available

Price: £ 1600 for a Twelth Share

£1600 purchases a one twelth (1/12th) Share to include all her costs to the 1st of May 2026. £225 per month per 1/12th Share to include all his costs and racing expenses.

If you were to purchase a share in both this Filly and in the Colt out of her Cousin, Bird To Love (who will race in the same colours), I would be pleased to offer a 10% on all the costs associated with both horses.
