Welcome to Mark Usher Racing!

I have been training racehorses since 1983 and I am now based in Rowdown Stables, Upper Lambourn, a modern, purpose built, Yard with 30 Boxes with easy access to the superb Lambourn Gallops. We moved into Rowdown on the 1st January 2016 and you can see something of the excellent facilites we have here. My team and I work hard to do the best for our horses and to achieve success and enjoyment for our owners; I pride myself on high standards and attention to detail.

We bred this colt and are pleased that he will be in training here at Rowdown.

His sire, Massaat, was a high class racehorse who ran second in the 2000 Guineas of his year and who later was to win Newbury’s Group 2 Hungerford Stakes; he showed his consistency by finishing second in the Group One Dewhurst Stakes, a Championship race for Two Year Old colts.

Bird To Love was in training with us at Rowdown: she won four races at distances between 10 and 12f and she was placed on numerous other occasions; she is closely related to a Black Type winner in the USA. If you follow this link you can see her winning decisively at Lingfield in October 2020.

The stud where he has been brought up have always liked him and have done an excellent job with his development.



Shares available

Price: £ 1600 for a Twelfth Share

£1600 purchases a one twelfth (1/12th) Share to include all his costs to the 1st of May 2026. £225 per months per 1/12th Share to include all his costs and racing expenses.

If you were to purchase a share in both this Colt and in the Filly out of her Cousin, Bird To Life (who will race in the same colours), I would be pleased to offer a 10% on all the costs associated with both horses.
