Miss Chester & Token Gesture at Kempton
Miss Chester, eased to 64, up in trip to eleven furlongs and running for the ft since September, runs in the Fillies London Middle Distance Series Qualifier at Kempton (7.40); hard to predict how she will get on over the longer trip and how she does will help inform us of where to go with her going into the Spring; on her best form over a mile she might have around five pounds to find with Veraison and varying lesser amounts with the others.
But it is much easier to be considerably
more buoyant with the prospects of Token Gesture in the seven furlong
Handicap (8.10); up just two pounds to 64 for deservedly getting the race outright over the c&d 23 days ago,
a spiffing draw in one and the best chance at the weights on most
readings of the form book bar Portoro who might have around a two pound
better chance; we go to Kempton to run really well and he should not be
far away off a still very competitive mark; there has been money for
him overnight.
Shades of May and Grand Echo both go to Chelmsford tomorrow evening.
