Leadaing Raya & Searchingtheblues at Wolvlerhampton
Leading Raya runs for the second time in Wolverhampton's six furlong Novice at Wolverhampton this afternoon (2.13); this afternoon is a stepping stone to a probable future in Nurseries and Handicaps next year; she goes to Wolverhampton to gain experience and to work towards a mark and the prime aim is that she shows some improvement on what she achieved at Windsor at the beginning of June on her first start; she is not devoid of ability going forward witness than piece of work with Monks Mead last weekend.
But in terms of being bullish about being
involved today it is significantly easier to write about
Searchingtheblues (3.53); although we could have been slightly better
drawn she is eased another pound to 61 and this gives her the best
chance at the weights of them all, albeit jointly with the equally
modestly drawn Show Me Gold; and we are, as ever, really pleased to be
able to have Robert. You do have to forgive her slightly below par run
at Lingfield the run before last but a repetition of what she achieved
at Southwell, over an extended eight furlongs here at Wolverhampton and at Kempton on three of her last four runs
will see her go real close this afternoon; she is almost certainly
overpriced at eights or even better and is, we hope, an ew dabble to not
much.
No runners over the weekend and on Monday; more about Tuesday onwards tomorrow.
