We are going to give Leading Raya a little more time but Defiant Dream runs in a Nursery for the ft (2.41) and Ken Brulee comes back down to six furlongs (3.51).

Defiant Dream runs off an om of 59 so the OH has, perhaps predictably, assessed her on the basis of her second run, the going on second on soft ground at Ffos Las in the middle of June; so the first issue is that it is a different surface today, Good to Firm and more on the Firm side than Good; but she is a good actioned, sound horse who should be fine on it; she wore pieces for the ft at Ffos Las and we put those back on today; and we are back at five today the same trip as the excellent Ffos Las performance; if she reproduces that performance only Crystal Kraken has a better theoretical chance this pm; always tricky, Nurseries with unexposed horses (which includes our filly) and it is hard to know how well handicapped Dreams Galore, Chianti, Cash Flow Boy and Devon Angel are but, if they are handicapped at face value, we have an excellent ew chance this pm and are significantly overpriced at 16s.

Ken Brulee also comes back in trip to six furlongs; and is eased back to 50 just a pound higher than when he won so nicely at Lingfield over six at the end of May; and we have got Rose back onboard; he has run adequately in four runs since winning without, perhaps, quite building on that performance; but, if he were to reproduce the Lingfield performance this pm, only Go Victor has a slightly better chance; so you would hope that he is as over priced as DD is.

An ew double would pay better than 200s for the win and one quiet response is two small ew singles and an ew double; one of them in frame will return the stake.

No runners tomorrow; but a bizzy day in prospect Tuesday with Monks Mead, Arlecchino's Rex, Summer Oasis and Distillation all going to Lingfield in the afternoon; and we have declared Lightenings Legacy at Hamilton in the evening.
