Arlecchino's Rex Up In Trip at Lingfield
Arlecchino's Rex goes up in trip to twelve furlongs at Lingfield this evening (6.35); so the 11th and the 12th furlongs are the first imponderables; it is hard to know for sure until we run him whether or not he will be as effective over the trip but he has a 16f Chase Winner and a 12f French winner very close up in his pedigree so this, and his style of running over the last five or six runs, is the rationale for having a look at how he performs over middle distances; but, if he does get home, he has an excellent competitive chance with only three, Highland Harvey, Mister Prententious and Pablo Prince having a one or two pounds better one; at nine or ten furlongs he would be significantly overpriced at 12s or bigger and the balance to be struck is the overprice against the chances of him getting home; he is well capable of winning if he does.
No runners tomorrow and we are just thinking about whether or not to take Victory Sound to Lingfield on Saturday afternoon.
Just have a look at our new Racing Club horse, a really striking grey filly by the high class stallion Dark Angel out of Cordelia Cross; if you follow this link you can see her, and the other horses, in the Racing Club.
