Ken Brulee & Ten Cuidado Both Go to Bath
Ken Brulee and Ten Caidado both run in Bath's very slightly extended five furlong Handicap this afternoon (5.00); the slightly extended is the relevant bit as both of them are coming back down in trip compared to their last run over the course at just short of six furlongs.
Not an easy race to call or to read, 13 runners spread across the track and competitively handicapped; TC is eased another pound to 51 and KB is unchanged off 54; both of them, on the balance of their last couple of runs, don't have much between them but both need to find around five or six pounds with the once rated 104 Recon Mission (albeit that was a while ago now); TC ran a much better race dropped in trip the last time and with a ft visor probably has the better chance of the two of finding those pounds but you could also take the vu that Rose's claim will be a significant help; it will turn on the pace of the race and the traffic as they meet the rising ground but both of our guys are capable of being involved if it drops right.
Ivat Ghia goes to Kempton tomorrow evening.
