Distillation ran with real credit off the 12lbs higher mark, just collared in the last 50 yards by the improving Dark Mandate; now with form figures of 21212 at Wolverhampton that is clearly the place for him although there is no reason why he shouldn't be just as effective on any left hand track; given the effectiveness of the way he front runs coming back to six might be an option; but it was still a pleasing performance yesterday evening from a horse who remains less exposed than some; and who is capable of improving further.

No runners today; From The HIp was eliminated at Salisbury tomorrow and could go to Kempton next Monday evening. We have declared Alecchino's Rex for the twelve furlong Apprentice Handicap at Wolverhampton on Friday afternoon; and Victory Sound is entered at Newcastle Friday evening.
